The Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL) – Generic Core Scales focuses on measuring health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in children and adolescents across a wide range of health conditions. It assesses the patient’s physical, emotional, social, and school functioning.

Description:
The PedsQL – Generic Core Scales are designed to measure HRQoL in both healthy children and those with acute or chronic health conditions. It includes child self-report forms (ages 5+) and parent-proxy reports (ages 2–18). The four domains include physical, emotional, social, and school functioning. The tool is valuable for clinical care, research, and health policy evaluation to better understand the pediatric patient experience.
