The SAQ measures patients’ perception of spinal deformity appearance and its psychosocial impact, particularly in scoliosis.

A validated PROM for assessing patient-reported cosmetic concerns and self-image in spinal deformity.

Description:

The SAQ evaluates patient satisfaction with spinal appearance and its impact on daily life, self-esteem, and social interactions. Items are scored on a 5-point Likert scale, with higher scores indicating greater satisfaction. It is especially useful in adolescent scoliosis patients to supplement functional PROMs.
